West Exe Girls U12 vs Crediton Girls U12 – 16/12/18
By Martin Salter
In what was always going to be a difficult match the girls all seven girls turned out with Misha on the sidelines nursing a shoulder injury. Crediton put in lots of connected passes and before half-time they were 5-0 up despite valiant efforts from Phoebe to the contrary with at least 7 effective and at times very brave saves.
With the ball barely leaving the West Exe part of the field in the second half another four goals made this one-sided game 10-0. One noteworthy high-point by a vastly improved Jess with a strong run on goal with the ball at her feet that could have been her debut, which now seems only a matter of time.
All the girls tried hard in difficult circumstances.
(Wo)Man-of the match was awarded to Jess for her lightening performance throughout the game.
