Devon FA Football Awards

On the evening of Thursday 2nd June, at Exeter Racecourse, representatives from our club attended the new Devon FA Football Awards, an amalgamation of the Devon FA Community Awards and the Throgmorton Referee awards.

The Devon FA Football Awards, hosted this year by BBC Spotlight’s David Fitzgerald, recognise and reward grassroots referees, coaches, clubs, leagues and their volunteers from across Devon with several awards on the night including Charter Standard Club, Development Club and Community Club of the Year, Volunteer of the Year and Referee of the Year.

We are very proud to announce that our head coach, Simon Partridge, was awarded Volunteer of the Year, due in no small part to the incredible amount of work he put in to make our recent FORCE and CLIC Sargent Charity Day such a success.

Not only that, but West Exe were voted Highly Commended Charter Standard Development Club of the Year.

Following Simon’s presentation a collection was made to add to the funds collected so far from the charity day. A total of £350 was raised from donations by those present!

Congratulations to Simon, and also to every one of you who has contributed to making this such a fantastic club.
