24/11/2018 – U13s Rangers 3-1 Exmouth

Saturday 24/11/18

West Exe Rangers U13’s took part in a very competitive match this morning against Exmouth United Youth. The first half was played at a very fast pace with shots from both teams. The deadlock was broken by a ferocious shot from the West Exe Rangers right wing from far outside the opposition box, sailing past a diving keeper into the far left corner of the net. Both keepers were called into action throughout the half with the closest shot being from Rangers hitting the post.
The 2nd half saw the competitive nature of the match continue. Rangers netting a 2nd with a good bit of link up play, but Exmouth quickly firing back with their first goal with a superb run from their forwards and a confident strike to put the ball beyond the keepers reach. Neither team willing to let the pace of the game drop, pushing on the attack and both teams introduced fresh legs. The game edged towards Rangers with a free kick in a dangerous area being awarded. A very well placed free kick dropped a ball at the feet of the attacking players and a 3rd goal well taken completed the win.

Without doubt Rangers best performance of the season, and a thoroughly good game to watch.
